DIfferent Types of Friends

FRIENDS

Defined to be "
a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard." (dictionary.com) But this definition can't define everyone's meaning of a friend. Some define a friend to be "a person who shares a common enemy" or "a person who is fun to be with but not so close to." Everyone has their own meaning of their true friend. To me, a friend is a person who cares about you and shares some of the same interests as you and will be your friend no matter what you choose. But there are different kinds of friends. Ask anyone and they will tell you they have that one group of friends they do (insert activity) with and that other group they hang out with. A person can have school friends, neighborhood friends, close friends, okay friends, speech-and-debate friends, or I-do-stupid-things-with friends. For me, there are three groups that I put my friends in. My school friends, my okay friends, and my close friends. Over the years, I've figured out that some of my friends can have their different sides and their different feelings towards you. So those so-called "two-faced" people are just put into a category of "people who I know." My school friends are people I mainly hang out with during school and I don't see them much outside of school. I have plenty of school friends to talk to, eat lunch with, and get help on homework. Then there are my okay friends who I hang out with once every blue moon because I don't see them as often and it's difficult to see them. I call them my "okay" friends because their fun to hang out with but their personality will probably get to me later on. I have a good amount of okay friends but there are fewer okay friends than school friends. Lastly, there are my close friends who consist of less than 10 people. They are my friends because they share some of my interests with themselves and they are helpful to me whenever I need aid. Whatever I choose to do, they support me in my decision and I do the same with them. I give them advice when they ask for it and they do the same. They come over whenever they please and my family won't mind. These close friends of mine are the people who I look up to the most. They are the people who influence my life and influence me. These close friends of mine are rare and truest out of all the people I know. They are the people who will be my friend for a lifetime.

Thanksgiving && Black Friday

Thanksgiving day. The day of eating. The day of gaining A BILLION pounds that you've been trying to get rid of all year long. The day when you celebrate the time of family and friends and give thanks to those who you are thankful for and gain the weight with. The people who I am most thankful for are:
1) Nicholas Walter Chee: My brother, my family, and most importantly: my best friend. He's always been here for me, even if he can be a bit aggravating, but he is always going to be my older sibling. Whenever I'm in trouble, he tries and attempts to help me even if I am so deep in trouble that it's impossible for me to get out of. He's the BEST brother in the whole entire world!!!
2) Reina Sophia Shimozono: My best friend and my semi-sister. She's always going to give me the best advice on A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G I ask her. She's crazy and weird: just like me. She's beautiful and intelligent and I love her like my family and I'm glad she's here for me.
3) My mother: Self-explained.
4) Nidhi Arashinagundi: She's the craziest and freakiest Indian girl I have EVER met!!! She's helped me through things that I don't think anyone can ever help me with. She's amazing and creative and she will always be my favorite brown person.

These are the people who I look up to the most.
